Escape Halloween 2023

Escape Halloween 2023

OCTOBER 27-28, 2023
SAN BERNARDINO, CA

THE SHORT VERSION

AN EDM FESTIVAL AND INTERACTIVE FRIGHT FEST IN ONE

If you’ve ever wanted to rave around and away from “giant creepy crawlers,” or through a dystopian field roamed by “maniacs and dangerous outcasts,” boy has this music festival got the set up for you. Named North America’s largest Halloween festival, Escape Halloween is both a dance music festival and an interactive horror experience in one, with four stages themed around a different unpleasant scenario.

The stages (The Grimm, Feeding Grounds, Sanitarium and Sewer District) emulate popular live-action horror experiences with scenes that range from voodoo spells to spiders and mad surgeons. The theatrics of EDM festivals elevate frightening performances, which are built with elaborate sets and light shows commonly used in the industry. You can probably escape a personal encounter with the horrors on stage, but everyone falls victim to the strobe lighting.

Headliners this year include Zomboy and Zedd — two EDM stars known outside of this niche world. They’ll be joined by dozens of other artists and DJs who will play the main festival as well as After Parties, a new addition to Escape Halloween this year. Musical performances are just the tip of the spectacle iceberg, with carnival rides, larger-than-life art pieces, and plenty of chilling characters stalking the festival grounds. Crazy Town — the Halloween Town center of this complex — spills out into the festival and gives attendees an idea of why ‘Escape’ made it into the name.
