Key West Food and Wine Festival 2024

Key West Food and Wine Festival 2024

JANUARY 23-28, 2024
KEY WEST, FL

THE SHORT VERSION

Spain comes to Florida (in a good way, this time) for this food and wine festival that runs on island time

Spain comes to Florida (in a good way, this time) for one week in January for the Key West Food and Wine Festival. The annual festival’s theme for 2024 is España and will center around events inspired by famous Spanish artists, with all of the food and drinks at each originating from the regions where they were born. Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Francisco de Goya, Diego Velázquez, and more will be represented through food. Though Spanish in theme, all the ingredients will be locally sourced and Florida-made.

The vibe in Key West — and this festival in particular — is unique, with niche, island-specific activities like a conch kick-off party and coconut bowling returning yearly as festival favorites. In past years, the festival has also hosted seminars with local chefs on topics like making your own chocolate and authentic key lime pie, all of which involved wine. Speaking of wine, this year’s wine will be majority Spanish, paired with Iberian favorites like tapas, pintxos, Valencian paella, roast suckling pig, Jamón Ibérico, and Crema Catalana. Key West may run on island time, but it’s always time for wine at this festival. The Key West Food and Wine Festival was named the #1 wine festival in 2022 by USA Today.
