Seismic Dance Event summons electronic music lovers to a dark, dank, part-alternative, part-mainstream dance party that takes place in the metaphorical “underground.”
The festival curates a diverse yet cohesive combination of industrial techno, house and classic EDM artists, creating the perfect place for music lovers to discover lesser-known avant garde styles and revisit old favorites. Now in its sixth year, Seismic Dance Event received a “Best Boutique Festival” nomination by DJ Mag just a year after its 2017 debut, and continues its “boutique” theme this year by pulling some of electronic music’s best underground DJs.
This season’s lineup includes modern electronic music powerhouses Deadmau5 and Kaskade, breakout techno producer Anfisa Letyago, and Australian house sensation Wax Motif, who will all grace the festival’s two main stages, Volcano and Tsunami. RealMusic Events, the festival’s producer and curator, already held one version of the event in the spring, making this winter’s party the Seismic Dance Event 6.0. It takes place at The Concourse Project, a new venue that was recently nominated by DJ Mag for The Best Dance Venue in North America.
