Travel Survey Results: Florida, California Lead States to Visit in 2021

In March, 39% of our travel survey respondents said that mass vaccinations were needed to feel 100% confident traveling again and it seems like we’re getting to that point. Almost 132 million Americans are fully vaccinated as we head into the Memorial Day Weekend and it’s estimated that more than 37 million in the US will travel this weekend (Friday through Monday’s holiday), up 60% over last year.

With travelers ready to take and plan trips, we wanted to know where you are going between now and the end of the year. Florida, New York and a handful of states out West ranked the highest, while some (fantastic) states in the Midwest and South Midwest landed at the bottom of this survey. Some results may surprise you and you can see the voting breakdown below.

We surveyed 867 avid travelers ages 18-65 who live in America. The majority were women, 62% to 38%. The survey has a +/- 3 margin or error
